Casa Ora
Our Mission
Casa Ora was born out of love — love for Venezuela, love for family, and love for the power of food to make people feel at home.
In 2019, mother and son Isbelis and Ivo Diaz opened Casa Ora in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn with a simple but powerful vision: to share the vibrant soul of Venezuelan cuisine with New York City, and to do it at the highest level.
They succeeded — and then some.
CHEF ISBELIS DIAZ — EXECUTIVE CHEF
Born and raised in Venezuela, Isbelis Diaz carries generations of culinary tradition in her hands. Her cooking is deeply personal — rooted in the flavors, textures, and memories of her homeland. At Casa Ora, she brings that heritage to life through refined, farm-to-table Venezuelan cuisine that honors where she came from while celebrating where she is now.
"Venezuelans are happy, loving people. I want our guests to feel that vibrant culture when they eat our food. And more importantly — to feel at home."
IVO DIAZ — CO-FOUNDER & MIXOLOGIST
Trained at two of the world's most celebrated restaurants — Eleven Madison Park and The NoMad Hotel — Ivo Diaz brings world-class cocktail craft to Casa Ora. His drinks are more than beverages; they are Venezuelan stories told through spirit, citrus, and smoke.
MICHELIN GUIDE RECOMMENDED · 6 CONSECUTIVE YEARS
Since opening in 2019, Casa Ora has earned Michelin Guide recommendation every single year — a testament to the consistency, passion, and excellence that Isbelis and Ivo bring to every service.
A RESTAURANT WITH PURPOSE
Casa Ora has always been about more than food. A portion of every meal served at Casa Ora goes directly to Venezuelan asylum families who have been forced to flee their homeland.
When you dine at Casa Ora, you are part of something bigger. You are not just eating well — you are doing good.
